FEMTO voltage amplifiers feature the DC characteristics of high-precision amplifiers. Therefore, even at 100dB gain, they are exceptionally well-suited for DC coupling without requiring permanent offset voltage adjustments. An ideal variable gain amplifier maintains a bandwidth independent of the gain setting. This is crucial for measuring fast signals and pulses. FEMTO's DLPVA amplifiers maintain a constant bandwidth of 100kHz (-3dB) up to the highest gain setting. Broadband noise can be reduced by switching the upper cutoff frequency to 1kHz.
